Chieveley Pre-School is for children aged 2½* to 5 years old. We are a friendly, parent run and charity based pre-school in the village of Chieveley, West Berkshire.
*we will take children from 2 years old subject to ratios, please enquire

Facilities

  • Based in the light and airy purpose built Early Years Centre at Chieveley Primary School with own outdoor space and access to school playing fields 
  • Wide range of stimulating and inspiring resources and play equipment

  • Free flow for playtime - children can chose and move between activities freely

  • Good links with childminders and nurseries in the local area for wrap around care

    Lunch is held at 12pm for children staying for the afternoon session. Lunches are packed lunchboxes brought in by the children. A snack is served cafe style from 10am, provided by the pre-school for a nominal charge.

    Staff

    We have a team of talented members of staff who run the pre-school sessions for the children.

    Sarah  is Manager with over 14 years childcare experience in a variety of settings; nurseries, as a nanny and as a childminder. She brings a fresh approach to the preschool and has an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and hands on experience as a mum of 3!

    Gina has been working as a Preschool Assistant on a part-time basis at the pre-school for several years. As a key worker for a number of children she has managed to develop and encourage even the most reticent children at the pre-school. She is has recently completed her CYPWD Level 3 qualification.

    Sam is our Deputy Manager and has 10 years experience of working within a preschool setting. She is level 3 qualified and is the Pre-School SENCO, in addition she manages the Every Child a Talker programme. Sam brings new ideas and an enthusiastic approach to Pre-School.

    Deborah has been an inclusion support assistant since mid 2014 and is now a Pre-school Assistant. Her calm and gentle approach encourages even the quietest children to gain confidence. She is Level 2 qualified.

    Catherine is the latest member to join our team, as a Pre-School Assistant. Catherine is a mum of two and has many years of experience within childcare, including as a self employed childminder and Nursery Assistant. She has a passion for the arts and crafts and enjoys sharing her creativity with the children. Catherine is CYPW (Children Young People's Workforce) Level 3 qualified.
