07 June '10 Last Sunday we ran our Chairman's Day American Tournament. It was hot and dry and five mixed doubles pairs all played each other to find an overall winner. Our champions for this year, who received a prize kindly donated by Malcolm Whittle, Club Chair, were Heather Du Faur and Peter Brown.
07 June '10 .Two weeks ago we ran our own U-12 'Boodles' tournament which was part of a larger National event. Eight boys competed on a very hot afternoon After a long, excellent and keenly contested round robin tournament the final was played between Ben Wierszycki and Toby Hutchison with Ben coming out on top as winner. Ben will now compete in the County Finals as the next stage in this event.
07 Jun '10 Tennis Club will have a cake stall at Chieveley fete on June 27th. All help welcomed - either with a donation of a homemade cake or by offering to "man" the stall for a session during the afternoon (or both of course!). Cakes can be left in the clubhouse any time from Friday evening and over the weekend (last collection time noon on the Sunday) or they can be delivered to Helen at Tudor Cottage, High Street.
07 June '10 The 'Strawberries and Cream Tea' adult & child tournament will be held on Sat 17th July. More details to follow.

Club sessions are open to all members - partners not essential as the objective is for all members to mix and play with any of the other club members who may attend.
Court Priority
Sessions as per the table above take priority over general play. For general play juniors and seniors have equal priority up to 6.00pm, after this time seniors have priority, though juniors may play if courts are available.
If there are people waiting to play, please ensure that doubles are played and once the existing set is completed, play is rotated to ensure everyone gets their turn.
