Chieveley Cricket Club is a brand new club starting in 2010 in the village of Chieveley. It is the ONLY start-up cricket club in the whole of England and is unique as a result. We have an energetic and ambitious team so why not join us and share in the fun and excitement!

We had a great game on Sunday 1 August, losing by 23 runs to Chaddleworth in a keenly contested 35 over game. The highlight was a spectacular unbeaten innings of 68 from our captain Nic Hamlin.The innings included 10 4s and 4 6s. Apple Print presented Thomas Langdon with his framed logo and prize on Wed 21 July at the adults v youths cricket match and Newbury Weekly News were there - so look out for the coverage in this weeks edition on Thursday. Unfortunately, Katie Cannings was unable to come but was given her prize at Curridge school.
The adults v youths match on 21st was a great success and lots of fun was had by particpants and spectators alike. There were 14 players on each team and some great cricket was played by both youths and adults during the 14 overs! Hope those that came all enjoyed the evening!

Dan Perkins will be in the USA coaching for the next 3 weeks but will return to take our sessions on 29 August, we hope to see lots more of you.

We are looking for 2/3 adults, whether parents or not, to help this season with youth cricket. We will be receiving coaching from the ECB. An enjoyment of sport and a sense of humour is more important than exceptional cricket skills.
