A session is normally 4 hours, i.e. 9am-1pm, 1.30 - 5.30pm and 6pm-10pm.

Hire of the grounds and car parking by prior arrangement only.

Regular users

The hall provides a home for many village activities, as well as being available for rent by others.  Regular users include:

  • Pre-School 
  • Toddlers
  • Short-mat bowls
  • Dog training
  • Kick-boxing
  • Womens' Institute
  • Floral group
  • Parish council
  • Whist club
  • Gardening club

The hall and grounds are run and managed by a committee which is made up of representatives of user groups and elected people.  All are volunteers and give their time freely.

The extensive grounds include a large car park, two full-sized football pitches and a children's play park which includes swings, slides, springers and multiplay equipment.

The Recreation Ground

The Recreation Ground in Chieveley is run by the Village Hall Committee.  It provides:

  • Two football pitches
  • A play area with climbing frames
  • Tennis courts (run by the Tennis Club)
  • Rough ground upon which many children enjoy riding over the bumps
  • Bins for use by dog-walkers.
