80th Anniversary of D-Day

In accordance with national events the Parish of Chieveley will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings on the evening of Thursday 6th June 2024.

Parishioners are warmly invited to assemble at the Parish Beacon on Chieveley Recreation Ground from 8.30pm in celebration of the ‘light of peace’ that emerged out of the darkness of war.

8.50pm             The Piper

9.10pm             Reading of the International Tribute

9.15pm             Lighting of the Parish beacon
